In Africa’s rising entrepreneurial ecosystem stands Fred Lawanson—a man whose name is quietly becoming synonymous with purpose, people, and progress. A passionate entrepreneur, author, trainer, nation builder and CEO of LivinMing Global, Fred’s story reads like the blueprint of Africa’s next generation of impact leaders.

“My journey began with a desire to solve problems, inspire growth, and create opportunities. From publishing books and launching startups to teaching youths and business owners, each step has been driven by a sense of mission—to help people unlock their full potential,” Fred reflects.

Fred wears many hats, from publishing books and launching startups to the impactful work of teaching youths and business owners, but his mission is singular: to empower Africans to live more productive, purpose-driven lives. And he’s walking the talk. This inherent drive to uplift others is the golden thread that weaves through his multifaceted career.

Where Passion Meets Platforms

Fred’s path wasn’t forged in comfort. It was carved by the quiet frustrations he observed growing up the kind that dims the light in brilliant minds when knowledge and opportunity are missing.

“Growing up, I saw how a lack of the right knowledge or support system could limit even the most talented individuals. My exposure to different sectors showed me that real empowerment comes from access—access to ideas, skills, and platforms,” he recalls.

His career cuts across finance, literature, tech, and creative industries, all rooted in one conviction: empowerment is about access—access to ideas, skills and platforms.

“I’ve experienced both scarcity and breakthrough, and I believe it’s my responsibility to bridge that gap for others.”

LivinMing Global: More Than a Business, A Movement

In December 2024, Fred officially launched LivinMing Global. Though in its infancy, the vision is crystal clear and the initial impact is already palpable.

“Our projects are still in their early stages… but even from these baby steps, the feedback has been encouraging. We’re already seeing signs that lives are being touched and value is being created,” he says.

“We’re not just building a business—we’re building a movement.”

What makes LivinMing different? Purpose and people. Not pitch decks and PR.

“We’re committed to the journey ahead with bold vision and unwavering impact,” Fred adds.

This humble yet hopeful assessment underscores a grounded approach, one that prioritizes genuine impact over rapid expansion.

Africa’s Role in the Global Future

As the African Ambassador for the New Era Community, Fred doesn’t see Africa as a passive player in the world’s future but as the torchbearer.

“Africa holds the world’s youngest population, rich cultural diversity, and untapped creativity. I believe Africa will lead the next wave of inclusive innovation offering sustainable solutions born from resilience and necessity. Our role is not just to catch up but to create new models that unite progress with people-centered values,” he says.

His conviction in Africa’s potential is inspiring and a powerful call to action.

From Scarcity to Strategy: What Drives Fred

Financial freedom, to Fred, is not just about zeros in the bank—it’s about purpose-driven peace.

“Financial freedom means having the ability to live a life of purpose without being enslaved by lack. For those I mentor, I break it down into practical steps: develop skills, build income streams, manage money wisely, and grow scalable ventures.”

“It’s not just about wealth, but about control, dignity, discipline and peace of mind,” Fred asserts. He’s teaching these principles with practical, scalable frameworks—skills development, smart money habits, and venture building. This holistic view of financial well-being empowers individuals to pursue their passions with security and confidence.

Lessons from the Trenches: Failure as a Teacher

Fred embraces failure as part of the path.

“I’ve learned that failure is a classroom, not a courtroom. Every setback has taught me resilience, innovation, and the value of starting small but thinking big. Success isn’t about avoiding failure, but about learning, adjusting, and persisting with a clear vision.”

“We also need to learn to collaborate or offer support. No one is an island.”

He leans on wisdom, even invoking scripture to remind us that collaboration is divine.

“The Bible says two is better than one for they get a better reward. One shall chase a thousand but two shall chase ten thousand.”

The Entrepreneur’s Toolkit: 3 Skills for Africa’s Future Builders

Fred’s advice to young entrepreneurs?

  1. Adaptability: “The ability to continuously seek knowledge, learn new things and pivot fast.”
  1. Strategic Thinking: “Seeing beyond the now.”
  1. Collaboration: “No one builds a legacy alone.”

Five-Year Vision: Rewriting Success for a Continent

Where does he see LivinMing in five years?

“LivinMing Global will be a leading lifestyle and empowerment brand in Africa, impacting millions through our products, programs, and platforms.”

His goal is to fuse culture, entrepreneurship, and purpose into a continental movement.

A Message to Africa’s Rising Stars

Fred’s words to the next generation are fuel for the future:

“Believe in your greatness, but build it daily. Africa needs your ideas, your courage, and your consistency. Don’t wait for permission to start. Start with what you have, where you are and never stop growing.”

This call to action is imbued with the wisdom of experience and a profound belief in the potential of Africa’s youth.

Coming Soon: Clean Africa, Empowered Kids

Fred isn’t stopping. To mark World Environment Day on June 5, 2025, LivinMing Global is launching a continental initiative. Adding the timely initiative, Fred shares:

“Permit me to add that we will be having an event to commemorate this year’s World Environment Day on the 5th of June 2025, to create awareness and kick off our empowerment program. We intend to gather one million clean pet bottles in different parts of Africa and to give out one million coloring books to children across 10 African countries and we seek sponsorship and donations to make it a success. Interested participants and sponsors can contact us via LinkedIn or email at fred.lawanson@gmail.com.”

Fred Lawanson is not just an entrepreneur. He’s a builder of people, a crafter of vision, and a champion of Africa’s new economy—one step, one story, and one purpose at a time.
