WeCure Pharmacy Partners With Yango to Expand Affordable Healthcare Access in Zambia

Access to healthcare in Zambia is set to improve following a new partnership between WeCure Online Pharmacy ZM and Yango. The collaboration connects digital healthcare services with smart delivery technology to ensure essential pharmacy products reach people faster, easier and at no delivery cost.

Through this partnership, WeCure Pharmacy is now officially listed on Yango Deli under the Shops section. This gives more than 2 million active Yango users across Zambia direct access to pharmacy products from their phones. Customers can order and receive medicines and health supplies without paying delivery fees, a move expected to reduce common barriers to healthcare access.

In less than a year of operation, WeCure Pharmacy has completed over 12,000 deliveries nationwide. The company says this growth reflects growing trust in digital health solutions and a clear demand for more convenient pharmacy services.

“This partnership is a major step forward in our journey to make healthcare more accessible, convenient and reliable,” said Dr. Dumisani Nkunika, CEO of WeCure Pharmacy. “We are focused on meeting people where they are and delivering essential health products when they need them most.”

Removing Cost and Distance Barriers to Healthcare

One of the most impactful aspects of the partnership is that all WeCure Pharmacy deliveries made through Yango Deli will be free of charge. For many Zambians, delivery costs often limit access to healthcare products, especially for families managing chronic conditions or urgent needs.

Dr. Nkunika emphasized that affordability is central to the company’s mission. “Easy access to healthcare is a must,” he said. “That is why innovation and partnerships are key pillars of what we do at WeCure Pharmacy.”

He added that the collaboration goes beyond business growth. “This partnership allows us to extend our reach and serve more people efficiently while staying true to our promise to put patients first,” he said. “At WeCure Pharmacy, we want you healed.”

Yango brings its international experience in ride hailing and delivery services to the partnership. Operating across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Yango uses advanced mapping, routing and machine learning technologies to improve delivery speed and efficiency. These tools help reduce operational costs while offering reliable and affordable services to users.

Strengthening Zambia’s Digital Health Ecosystem

WeCure Pharmacy has positioned itself as Zambia’s leading online pharmacy by offering a wide range of healthcare and wellness products. These include prescription medicines, over the counter products, cosmetics, herbal remedies, baby care essentials and agrovet supplies. The platform is designed to serve everyday health needs as well as long term care.

Beyond product access, the pharmacy also provides expert guidance and health tracking tools for patients managing conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. Its 24 hour support ensures customers can seek assistance at any time.

Dr. Nkunika said partnerships like this one help the company scale its impact while maintaining quality service. “We are more than a pharmacy,” he said. “We are a trusted partner in helping people live healthier and happier lives.”

By combining WeCure Pharmacy’s healthcare expertise with Yango’s delivery technology, the partnership represents a practical step toward a more accessible and inclusive healthcare system in Zambia. As digital health continues to grow, initiatives like this show how innovation can directly improve everyday lives.
