Tunisian mobility startup Pixii Motors has been named Boldest Mobility Startup at the BOLD Awards 2026 in Barcelona, marking a major step forward not only for the company but for the future of smart urban mobility. The recognition highlights how innovation from emerging markets is shaping safer, more efficient transport solutions for cities around the world.
The award reflects the company’s growing role in redefining how people move in urban spaces. By combining artificial intelligence, connected systems and practical design, Pixii Motors is building solutions that address everyday mobility challenges such as safety, efficiency and cost. As cities continue to face congestion and environmental pressure, solutions like these are becoming increasingly important.
“Pixii Motors has been named Boldest Mobility Startup at the BOLD Awards 2026 in Barcelona. This recognition reflects the work of an entire team committed to redefining smart e-mobility,” the company said. It also acknowledged the role of partners and organisers, adding, “A sincere thank you to Epi Ludvik and the entire BOLD Awards team, and to Barcelona & Partners for their partnership in making this event possible.”
At the centre of this recognition is the company’s flagship electric scooter, the Shadow. Designed for intelligent urban mobility, the scooter brings together advanced safety and smart technology features. It includes sensors for blind spot detection, crash detection systems and anti-theft protection, all aimed at improving rider safety. The scooter also operates with a smart cockpit that works independently from a smartphone, supported by strong connectivity and intelligent algorithms.
Pixii Motors has also integrated artificial intelligence into the scooter’s core functions. This allows for better battery performance, improved safety systems and real-time data use through machine learning and deep learning. An embedded chatbot helps users manage their scooter easily, while an intelligent battery swap system allows for quick energy replacement, reducing downtime for riders.
Beyond individual users, the company is also targeting fleet operators. Its SaaS-based fleet management platform offers features such as geofencing and cloud data recovery, helping businesses manage vehicles more efficiently. These systems show how Pixii Motors is not only building products but also creating a full mobility ecosystem.
The Shadow itself reflects deep technical engineering, combining hardware and software into a single system that can adapt to rider behaviour and changing urban conditions. Features like predictive maintenance and battery optimisation are built into the scooter’s design, allowing it to perform reliably in real-world environments.
The company’s leadership has played a key role in driving this vision. Co-Founder and CEO Anis Fekih, an aerospace engineer, founded the company after identifying gaps in traditional two-wheeler technology that led to safety risks and inefficiencies. Co-Founder and COO Wafa Dhifi brings experience in scaling industrial operations, ensuring the company can move from innovation to full production.
Looking ahead, Pixii Motors remains focused on expanding its impact. “We stay focused on what’s ahead. Let’s ride the future together,” the company said.
