Tanzania will host one of the most important entrepreneurship events of the year from 25 to 27 July 2025 in Dar es Salaam. The Afro-Asian Entrepreneurs Conference 2025 brings together entrepreneurs from across Africa and Asia in a rare opportunity to connect across borders and drive business ideas forward. The event is being organised by The Mediapreneur Network in partnership with the Youth Investors Association of Tanzania. What makes this conference special is that it is built with entrepreneurs in mind. It is designed to be a meeting point for bold ideas, practical skills and real opportunities.
Entrepreneurs attending the conference can expect high-level networking with investors, policymakers and industry leaders. These sessions are meant to be more than just exchanging contacts. They are about building meaningful connections that lead to partnerships, investment and business growth. The conference also includes a startup pitching platform where selected businesses will present their ideas to serious investors. This is a chance for entrepreneurs to secure funding, attract strategic partners and get valuable feedback on how to scale.
Panels will offer insight into current business trends, challenges and opportunities in sectors like technology, sustainable development and entrepreneurship. These discussions are led by experts who understand the practical side of doing business in Africa and Asia. There will also be an EduFair and exhibition where entrepreneurs can showcase their products and services to a global audience. This is a powerful opportunity to gain visibility, build customer interest and grow brand awareness.
The conference does not stop at business. There is also a tourism experience that takes delegates to Zanzibar for a luxury staycation. This part of the programme is about relaxing and networking in a different setting. It gives top-tier guests the chance to build relationships in a calm and creative space. Another highlight is the Afro-Asian Impact Awards. These awards celebrate individuals and businesses making a difference through entrepreneurship, social innovation and collaboration between Africa and Asia. Recognition at this level helps entrepreneurs build credibility and open doors in new markets.
The idea behind this event comes from a personal story. Abisola Olamide Williams, the founder of The Mediapreneur Network, started the Afro-Asian Impact Hub after moving to India in 2022. She had already built a community of young entrepreneurs in Nigeria but she found a different reality in India. Many young Africans there were struggling without strong networks, financial support or professional guidance. Abisola herself faced financial challenges and saw that waiting for policy changes would take too long. She decided to act by creating a hub that could support African entrepreneurs abroad.
The Afro-Asian Impact Hub is now a space for digital training, business guidance and community support. It helps African entrepreneurs build skills and grow in any country or market. It focuses on real-world tools that empower young people to succeed while also connecting with Asian counterparts to grow global economies. The goal is to empower 100000 young entrepreneurs by 2035 and contribute to a 15 percent increase in global economic activity through Afro-Asian partnerships.
For entrepreneurs across Africa and Asia this conference offers something that is hard to find elsewhere. It gives them the chance to be seen, heard and supported in an international setting that understands their challenges. It creates a space where African and Asian entrepreneurs can build something bigger together. With experienced speakers like Burak Buyuksarac, Emma Kawawa, Amb John Ulanga, Elizabeth Nasaka and Salum Awadh attending, the learning and mentorship potential is high.
The Afro-Asian Entrepreneurs Conference is not just about attending an event. It is about becoming part of a movement that supports emerging businesses and brings people together to solve shared problems. For any entrepreneur looking to grow their business, find partners or simply connect with others on the same journey this is a rare and valuable opportunity.
